Do you get sea sick?

If the thought of getting seasick is holding you back from enjoying a cruise, you're not alone. I, too, suffer from severe motion sickness on boats, roller coasters, or in vehicles.

Despite this, I have been on several cruises with minimal issues. My first cruise was for my wedding 11 years ago (time flies, right?). Although I read all the reviews and took Dramamine to combat motion sickness, I ended up spending my wedding night in our cabin feeling unwell instead of celebrating with my family. I followed all the instructions and took it well before the ship set sail, but it didn't work for me. I was devastated because I didn't want to spend my cruise sick in my cabin, especially during such a special occasion. Additionally, being young and on a tight budget, I was worried about the costly onboard medical expenses. Luckily, my dad came to the rescue with a different motion sickness medication called Bonine, which worked wonders for me. Thanks to this medication, I was able to enjoy the rest of the cruise without any motion sickness issues. While Bonine worked for me, it may not be the perfect solution for everyone. There are various medications and bands available to help with motion sickness. Hopefully, with this information, everyone can feel more at ease and fully embrace the wonderful experiences a cruise has to offer.
